Explain why the use of specialist software improves accessibility to IT communications

Choice of colours

The use of specialist software, improves accessibly of IT because its important to choose decent colors that do not stand out because it will lead to distraction in the readers eyes.Some colors can be a bad mixture such as grey and yellow as it can cause problems to read the source making the text less visible.

Choice of text size

The average text size of any font is 12 points minimum.Its best to use this standard size as its not too big or not too small.In my opinion, the best font to use for easy online reading is Arial at 12 points.

Contrast of text and background

Contrast of text and background is significant because the work can be viewed and seen by people with low vision.Using colors black and grey can be difficult for people to read.This was an example of bad contrast of colors. A good example of colors would be blue and red.

In my opinion,the best font to use for easy online reading is Arial at 12 points.The reason why i chose Arial is because letters are separate and are not joint up which makes it easier to identify letters.

Inclusion/exclusion of images

Its crucial to apprehend the implication of inclusion/exclusion of images.When using imagery, its vital to ensure you’re not discriminating anyone when the images have been inserted.It could be on websites and leaflets.

Tool tips are text label that label text information about specific icons such as: question marks which could indicate password is too weak or name should be in capital letters.Finally, tools tips are essential because it allows IT users with low eyesight to click on certain words which they are capable to hear using customized software.

Why is the blog good at conveying information to a wide audience?

  • Any one can access my blog from anyone over the age of 13.Everyone can access my blog as long there are connected to the internet.You can access a blog from a phone and computer etc…
  • Any data can be inserted within the web blog and you could include text and pictures/images.
  • Editing the blog is very simple in WordPress.All you have to do is click on blog posts and you can edit any post then update it so it saves for future use.
  • Publication of the web blog is when you send it to the community and then everybody can glimpse it.Publishing of the web blog occurs when a member has completed the web blog, ready to be sent out to the world wide web.

Is there anything that the blog does not do well?

  • Its not difficult to make a blog entry, all you have to do is create blog post and you’re good to go, making content that is suitable for your audience.
  • To update the existing entry, go to web blogger then you click on blog posts then you can start editing.

Explain the safety and security aspects that were used by Blog.com/WordPress to make it safe for you to set up and use. What are they, why are they there, how did they protect you as a user, how do they stop others using your blog and posting inappropriate comments?

  • Passwords are the main things to consider when setting up a blog because people usually hack your blogs or publish data without your admin permission.So, the main priority would be needing a strong password which should include capital letters, numbers and symbols on your keyboard.
  • Also, you need a email to register your account in order to set up your blog.
  • Finally make sure you activate a verification code to add an extra layer of security that will re appoint your identity.

What makes email safe to use?

Attaining of individual data (never insert your personal life out on public or to the local community).On emails , Do not include your address or any of your bank details.So always make sure you check twice before you mail it.

Saving Work

Its better to save work throughout a session/lesson rather than at the end because a power cut can occur and all lessons work is gone.So its best to save work 10 minutes before a lesson ends, so if there is a power cut etc… Then, you would have to catch up with a little bit of work, which isn’t too bad.

Its important that you save work and create backup files.Therefore, computers can fail all the time and floppy disks may become corrupted and CD’s can get scratched.As of this, you’ve lost your work.

Its appropriate to save your work in more than one place.Then, you would have a secure version elsewhere.

Its crucial to save your work regularly because it significantly helps reduce the chance of losing data you’ve entered due to app crashes and hardware problems.

Ethical aspects of IT

  • Attempt and contribute to the network in a area of your choice.
  • Ensure that you are not wasteful of others resources when mailing or in the layout of the website.
  • Use specific details when implying to other Internet resources and web pages.
  • Treat others the way you want to be treated.
  • Make sure you do not break legislation regarding use of computers and IT.

  • IT has brought the world together through social networking sites.IT has made researching information easier, as information can be found by looking over the internet.This helps people who haven’t got a local library near they live.
  • Through social networking, people can speak to family and friends from across the globe.This helps people who can’t travel to visit family or friends.
  • IT has created many jobs for people to apply for, IT skills are now required for almost every job and with internet access wildly available.People are able to communicate and work away from an office which has made working from home a more popular choice.
